All Girls Beginners/Intermediate Coaching Weekend September 13/14th 2008  

1.    Ladies welcome to the final Boardriders Beginners Weekend of 2008 which has been dedicated as the ‘All Girls Weekend’ to promote women’s sport in the RN. The above event will be held at Gwithian beach on the weekend of 13^rd-14^th September 2008. 

2.    The course is open to all service and MOD Female personnel based at RN/RM establishments and female members of their families. All personnel interested in attending the course should complete the attached proforma and return it to CPO Stevie Hicks, 824 NAS, RNAS Culdrose TR12 7RH, along with a cheque for £30 per person made payable to “Culdrose Central Fund” no later than Wednesday 10^th Sept 2008 (Place confirmed only on receipt of application AND a cheque); any queries please contact Lt Williams (General Secretary) mob: 07834527401. It is advisable to book early as these weekends are becoming extremely popular and are limited to 40 personnel (which is continually being achieved, first come first served basis). 

4.     The aim of the weekend is to promote and introduce personnel to the exciting sport of surfing, and to further improve the skill of personnel who have previously experienced the sport of surfing. Please state on the form as to your skill level as we can now offer video analysis and further intermediate coaching for those who are at a progressive level.

5.     Due to the uncertainty of the weather and surf, it may be necessary to change the venue on the day; therefore personnel are required to provide their own transport.

6.   All equipment for the lessons will be provided (e.g. Boards, Wetsuits, booties not available.) Participants are advised to bring their own wetsuits, boots and gloves if possible.

7.      The muster point will be Gwithian TOWANS car park (near Hayle, just off the A30) at 0900 on 14th Sept 2008 and be advised to ensure you have enough change for the car park (approx £4.50).

8.   Included in the price will be 6 hours plus of quality surf instruction, a Royal Navy Royal Marines Boardriders T-shirt and a barbecue on the Saturday night to be held at the Red River Inn, Gwithian.

10.  Also at the Towans car park is Sunset Café where you can purchase food and drink, open at 09:00am.
